Why replace your inefficient boiler?
The energy used by a boiler accounts for about 55 per cent of what an average household spends in a year on energy bills, so replacing your inefficient boiler can make a huge difference in how much you pay on your energy bills.
What are the benefits of a new A-rated boiler?
Modern boilers are more efficient because they are all condensing boilers. All well-maintained boilers burn their fuel efficiently, but they inevitably lose some heat that escape up the flue. A condensing boiler has a larger heat exchanger, so it recovers more heat, sends cooler gases up the flue and is more efficient saving you money on your energy bills.
What should I consider when replacing my boiler?
If you have a mains gas, a gas boiler is usually the cheapest most efficient heating system.
Most old gas and oil boilers are regular boilers which use a separate hot water cylinder to store hot water, rather than providing it directly from the boiler. A combi boiler doesn’t need a cylinder.
Your hot water usage
Choosing a boiler will depend on what your hot water needs are.
Space in your home
Combi boilers don’t need hot water cylinders, and so require less space in your home.
Compatibility with solar water heating
If you’re thinking of installing solar water heating you need to check whether your new boiler will be compatible with the new heating system.
Finding an installer
For installation of gas and LPG boilers, the installer must be Gas Safe registered. It’s important that you always use fully trained, insured and accredited installer to fit your boiler. Infinity Energy Organisation works only with accredited partners who provide comprehensive service, making sure your system complies with current building regulations and Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations. For more information on how to find an accredited boiler installer, talk to one of our friendly advisors.
How much can I save?
The money you will save each year depends on how old and inefficient your existing boiler is and the fuel your boiler uses. If you live in a detached house and replace an old gas boiler without controls, with a new A-rated condensing boiler with a programmer, room thermostat and thermostatic radiator controls, you could save up to £570*.
How much CO2 will I save?
Replacing your old boiler with a new A-rated boiler saves you around 1,500kg of carbon dioxide a year.
How much does it cost?
The cost for a new boiler depends on what heat system you need to replace and the type of boiler you want to install. Infinity Energy Organisation offers flexible finance packages by which you can make monthly payments for a boiler replacement. Book a no obligation appointment with one of our advisors to find out more about our finance options.
Is it worth the investment?
A new boiler will save you thousands of pounds over its lifetime. Boilers normally come with a 7 or 10 years manufacturer guarantee so you can be rest assured you are saving money on your energy bills while improving your home cost-effectively.
* On selected boiler models only
** £570 savings are estimated figures based on installing a new A-rated condensing boiler with a programmer, room thermostat and thermostatic radiator controls (TRVs) in a gas-heated home from an older boiler without controls. Savings will vary depending on the size and thermal performance of your home.
